January 25th, Unirule made one of the top think tanks in mainland China according to the 2016 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report released by the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) at the Lauder Institute, University of Pennsylvania. 

In the “Top Think Tanks Worldwide (Non-US)” category, Unirule ranks 105th world-wide, and 7th in mainland China. The other think tanks that made this list in mainland China are China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR)(33rd), Chinese Academy of Social Sciences(38th), China Institute of International Studies (CIIS)(40th), Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC)(52nd), Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS)(74th), Institute of International and Strategic Studies (IISS), FKA Center for International and Strategic Studies(80th), Center for China and Globalization(111th), and Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies (RDCY)(149). 

In the “Top Think Tanks in China, India, Japan, and the Republic of Korea” category, Unirule ranks 27th, and 9th in mainland China; in the “Top Domestic Economic Policy Think Tanks” category, Unirule ranks 39th, and 3rd in mainland China; in the “Top Science and Technology Think Tanks” category, Unirule ranks 35th, and 1st in mainland China; in the “Best Transdisciplenary Research Think Tanks” category, Unirule ranks 60th world wide, and 2nd in mainland China; in the “Best Use of Social Media and Networks” Unirule ranks 59th world wide and 1st in mainland China; in the “Think Tank to Watch in 2017” category, Unirule ranks 51st world wide and 2nd in mainland China; in the “Think Tanks with the Most Significant Impact on Public Policy” category, Unirule ranks 50th world wide and 2nd in mainland China; in the “Think Tanks with Outstanding Policy-Oriented Research Programs” category, Unirule ranks 58th world wide and 3rd in mainland China; in the “Best Independent Think Tanks” category, Unirule ranks 103rd world wide and 3rd in mainland China; and in the “Top Think Tanks with Annual Operating Budgets of Less Than $5 Million USD” category, Unirule ranks 10th world wide and 1st in mainland China.
