Prof. Mao Yushi was listed in Cambridge List of the Most Distinguished Chinese People in the World and attended the awarding ceremony which was held in Beijing Broadcasting Tower of Beijing People's Broadcasting Corporation on May 21st, 2011. Over five hundred people attended the awarding ceremony. Other prizewinners includes Gao Kun ("father of optical fibers" and winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics), Zhang Yimou, Shi Dinghuan (new energy and science and technology promotion organizer), Liu Xiaoqing, Yuan Renguo (General Manager of China Kweichow Moutai Distillery Co., Ltd.), Li Yan ( Disseminator of Chinese culture), Chen Zhenglei (direct-line successor of Chen Style Taijiquan), and the 98-years-old Tu Tongjin ( forefather of Chinese neurosurgery). Prof. Mao Yushi was once included in Dictionary of International Biography, Cambridge in 1995.
