In order to curry favor with common people, the government always does some specious things with the ignorance of common people. A classic example is that freeways were free during the National Day holiday. It was supposed to benefit from this move, but instead was cheated. Because the saving in cost far exceed what's lost in a traffic jam. For others, like the economically affordable housing and the upmarket flow-rent housing, are the same. The pity is that common people are so gullible that they don’t know what are their true interests and violate muddled again and again.

Freeways can be use for free, but not without the cost.it takes money to build and maintain highways. If freeways are free, who will bear the cost? If I said that freeways should be raised prices instead of free, I’m sure that i will be bawled out by common people. However, please compare these two choices, free or the price rises, which one is more reasonable? That is to say, we should know where the true interest is. And don't think spending less money is a good thing and overcharging must be a bad thing.

How much do you charge for the freeways? By what standard do you judge between right and wrong?

The standard of economics is avoiding wastage. If the charge is too low, it will lead to waste .if the freeways fees are too high, The handling capacity of freeways will be wasted. Appropriate charge will avoid jams or desolated. There are also other standards, for example, Helping low-income is a standard. It is still fair to sacrifice a little efficiency or cause a waste. however, the government spending and revenues

Should be take into consideration.
