Professor Yushi Mao, invited by the Fujitsu Research Institute, visited Tokyo between June 8-12 2009, to give a speech entitled "China's Economy Under Crisis."  Professor Mao's comments were focused primarily on the current anti-crisis policy in China.  In his opinion, the problem with the Chinese economy is not slowing GDP growth, but a disequilibrium in resource allocation, including income, investment, sector, and export.  He thinks that an increase in employment is the key factor for the Chinese economy to resume to equilibrium.  Approximately 200 people were in attendance at this conference.
