The Unirule Institute of Economics held the Unirule Summer Camp 2011 in Yunnan Province from 20th to 25th August 2011. Over forty people participated in the activity. Among the campers were college students, young staff of investment corporations, and other young people greatly interested in economics and the Unirule and eager to have face-to-face communication with experts from the Unirule.

The summer camp included the following parts:
Ⅰ The Forum on the Unirule Study Tour―Dialogues with Economists was held in Kunming Tailong Hongrui Hotel on the first day of the summer camp, August 20th, 2011. On the forum, Prof. Mao Yushi, President of the Unirule, delivered a lecture entitled "How to Understand Resource Allocation by Market & Production and Distribution of Wealth?;" Prof. Sheng Hong, head of the Unirule, delivered a lecture entitled "To Be a Gentleman;" Prof. Ma Yong, Vice Director of the Institute of Economics, Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences, gave a lecture entitled "ASEAN Free Trade Area and the Strategic Positioning of Regional Development of Yunnan Province."  In Prof. Sheng Hong's speech, he elaborated his idea that the key of a good institutional structure lies in the interaction between elites and the common people. According to Prof. Sheng, the significance of individualism methodology lies in that the society is a harmonious or happy society only when the overwhelming majority of individuals consider themselves as happy, and that individualism methodology is correct in most occasions (market, democracy) and individual self-governance is needed when the entirety is excessively complex. He believed that elites are import because they can take remedies in a few crucial occasions when individualism methodology fails to work and the role of elites is like bringing the painted dragon to life by putting in the pupils of its eyes. He placed his emphasis on the point that the benignant interaction between elites and the common people constitutes a good institutional structure. Then, Mr. Zhao Xu, researcher of the Unirule, Mr. Zhao Nong, researcher of the Unirule, and Zhang Lin, Vice Dean of Yunnan Universtiy, gave brilliant comments on the keynote speeches by the above-mentioned experts. Campers also raised questions and interacted with experts. Before the forum was completed, Prof. Mao Yushi gave away free books with his signatures and issued Unirule study tour certificates to campers, which pushed the forum to a climax. Campers took pictures with Prof. Mao one after another.

Ⅱ Mr. Zhao Xu, researcher of the Unirule, Mr. Zhao Nong, researcher of the Unirule, and Mr. Gao Yan, Vice Director of the Unirule delivered relevant keynote lectures respectively during the summer camp. In his lecture entitled Market Incentive in Public Policies, Mr. Zhao Xu elaborated his ideas mainly through case studies, including agricultural water conservation, allocation of water resources, cultivated land protection, and treatment of traffic jams. The contents of their lectures soundly satisfied campers' thirst for economic and historical knowledge. Campers enthusiastically raised questions and exchanged ideas with lecturers. Even after they arrived at Dali at around 11 p.m., the campers still surrounded the experts to ask questions and exchange ideas.
