January 10th, the New Year Expectation Forum 2017 was held at Unirule Beijing Office. This is the sixth in a row. Many famous experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, and concerned citizens attended this forum.
There were four thematic units, namely, “my expectations for China’s future”, “my expectations for economic and political change”, “my expectations for rule of constitution”, and “my expectation for global governance and the world”.
Mr. WU Si, President of Unirule, gave an opening speech to welcome the experts and audience.
Professor SHENG Hong gave a presentation on Unirule’s work over the past year. Many experts at this forum reflected and acknowledged the achievements in the past year in terms of reforms, such as the breakthrough in breaking the oil monopoly and the table salt monopoly, the abolishment of the one-child policy, the deepening of the anti-corruption campaign, the emphasis of corporate property rights of all enterprises, and the development in the NIE Shubin case, etc.. In the meanwhile, problems and issues to be improved were also discussed, such as the management of air pollution, tax and politics, the improvement of the environment for private enterprises, rule of constitution and rule of law, and the legislation of religious matters, etc.. |
