Keynote Speaker: Wang Xixin

Prof. Wang Xixin elaborated the relationship between transparency and China’s public governance reform. He believed that China’s ruling party continued to promote governmental information disclosure in the hope of optimizing China’s administration. Through information disclosure, one of the administrative technologies, the public will be able to have access to information and get involved in administration of the country. Moreover, certain changes will also happen to the relative strength of the ruling party and the public. This might become a breakthrough point of China’s administrative structural adjustment. Prof. Wang also touched on several other issues, such as, the practical effects of information disclosure, what should be done in information disclosure in the future, etc.
